Dr Chris Garrett, the founder of ShootCert, has an extensive medical background, having trained in London for nearly two decades before becoming a consultant at a Midlands hospital, where he worked for 25 years. Alongside his impressive medical career, Dr Garrett has always held a deep passion for country sports, particularly shooting and working with dogs, which has fuelled his dedication to ensuring the safe and professional provision of medical certificates for firearms licence applicants.

Dr Garrett’s qualifications are extensive, holding a Bachelor of Science (BSc), a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS), and the Fellowship of the Royal College of Anaesthetists (FRCA). As a registered medical practitioner, he remains committed to maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and ethical practice in line with General Medical Council (GMC) regulations.

At ShootCert, Dr Garrett acts as a mentor and adviser to a trusted panel of GMC-registered doctors, ensuring that each applicant receives expert medical assessments that comply with the rigorous standards required for firearms licensing. His leadership and expertise have established ShootCert as a leading provider of firearms medical certification, recommended by major organisations like BASC, the Countryside Alliance, and CPSA.
